Adolescent Substance Abuse / Early Intervention Group
- The early intervention or “Life Skills” group addresses issues that pre-teens and adolescents face in their daily living, including drug use, gangs, delinquent activities and other potentially dangerous stressors. The group meets weekly and has a family education component that assists the families in keeping their children/adolescents on the right life course. A clinician will schedule an intake evaluation with the child and guardian after receiving a referral form. A master’s level clinician and child psychiatrist conduct the intake evaluation and continue to manage the teen’s care for the duration of the program.
